CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS IN THE EIGHTH EUROPEAN POLICY SCHOOL

Topic: Environment and Climate Change – Chapter 27 of North Macedonia’s Negotiations with the European Union

The European Policy School is a traditional activity of Eurothink held every year. The aim of the event is to contribute to a better understanding of the European integration process among representatives of civil society organizations, media, and other stakeholders.

The theme of this year’s school emerged as the highest interest and priority among citizens. Eurothink identified this through a series of 16 thematic trainings conducted during 2024 and 2025 within the framework of the same project.

The focus will be on the steps that need to be taken in North Macedonia to ensure greater attention and concrete action on these issues, particularly in the context of persistent air pollution, waste management in urban areas, river cleanliness, and raising citizens’ awareness and environmental culture. Special attention will be given to the European dimension of these topics, considering that they form a key part of Chapter 27 in the country’s negotiations with the European Union, which relates to the environment and climate change.

The school is open to representatives of civil society organizations and institutions, journalists, media professionals, students, and young professionals interested in environmental protection and climate change in the country.
