BIRC: CALL FOR INTERNS
Balkan Institute for Regional Cooperation (BIRC) is pleased to announce a call for applications for internship within the organization.
Internships provide the opportunity for students and young journalists from Republic of North Macedonia to gain genuine working experience in vibrant and multicultural environment through assignments that combine tutorship, team work and independent commitment.
Experienced editors, journalists and professionals will guide and mentor the participants toward the highest skills of quality journalism and media organization management.
The duration of internship periods is set for 6 months, with option for paid extension and status upgrades. Those completing the internship will be awarded a certificate by BIRC.
The Balkan Institute for Regional Cooperation – BIRC is non-governmental and non-partisan, fully independent in its operations. The offices of BIRC are located within SEEU campus in Tetovo.
BIRC is made up of proven experts in the field of journalism and science.
The vision of the BIRC is to contribute to the building of a functioning democratic state, where every citizen will be guaranteed freedom of speech, movement and other political freedoms. This vision implies a society with good governance, transparent and accountable institutions, free and plural media, an active and consolidated civil society as well as a state where the rule of law functions.
To accomplish its vision, BIRC seeks to promote and implement the paradigm of quality journalism and scholarly research in the social and public space. BIRC manages two online media that serve as platform to publish its journalistic products – www.kdpolitik.com (en/mk/al) and www.balkanview.com (en).
